DO I NEED A LAWYER FOR SMALL CLAIMS COURT 

 This is a common question that people ask, do they need a lawyer for small claims court. My answer is no. Ontario’s small claims court system is set up so that people can in theory start their own legal case and proceed through the system.

 Despite the ease of small claims court it’s still a good idea to speak with a litigation lawyer or specifically a small claims court lawyer. There are various issues that can arise that might be confusing for people or could end up jeopardizing their case.
